The only thing I found interesting in my whole trip to Iowa. On the side of a building near main street in Newton, Iowa, a mural by Carl Homstad.

Completed in 10 days in 2003. Real impressive stuff.

Wall Street report on CNN

Uh oh, Wall Street's in trouble. The market is at a 17 year low and Lehman Brothers just filed for bankruptcy.

Happy Bday, Dad!

Happy birthday to my father, Dr. JP Shim. Some of his accolades. He turned 61 today. To think, he had me when he was 38. I guess I'm sort of a late bloomer, but that's alright. A distinguished professor of Management & Information Systems at Mississippi State University, he's had an amazing life and the stories to back it up. My grandfather is also a professor (retired) and is still trekking on at his age of 91 (I think). Here's to my father having a long and prosperous life, like his father.

I'm still jealous of how often he gets to travel.
